database 1. Data We Collect

We collect the minimum necessary to operate the service:

• Email address — collected at sign-up to send your download link and onboarding instructions. Stored securely and never sold or shared with third parties.
• Device identifier — anonymised using SHA-256 hashing for licensing and abuse prevention. The original identifier is never stored.
• Usage metadata — aggregate, anonymised counts (e.g. number of conversations transferred) used to improve reliability. No content is included.

mail 2. How We Use Your Email

Your email address is used solely to:

• Send you the download link for the desktop application
• Provide onboarding and setup instructions
• Deliver critical security or service notices

We do not send marketing emails without your explicit opt-in.

key 3. OAuth & Account Access

Gemini2Claude connects to Google Gemini and Anthropic Claude via OAuth directly from your desktop. Credentials are stored locally on your device in the same secure way a browser stores login sessions — they are never transmitted to our servers. We request only the permissions needed to read your conversation history and write to your Claude account. Specifically, we do not:

• Access any other content or data in your Google or Claude accounts
• Transmit or store your OAuth tokens on our infrastructure
• Read your Google Drive, Gmail, or any other Google service

This is the most important section. Gemini2Claude is a local desktop application — your chat data never touches our servers:

• All reading, converting, and writing of conversations happens entirely on your device
• Data travels directly from Google Gemini to Anthropic Claude — we are not an intermediary
• We have no technical ability to access, intercept, or log your conversation content
• API calls to Google and Anthropic are made from your machine using your own credentials

We integrate with the following services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

• Google / Gemini — source of conversation data, accessed via OAuth from your device
• Anthropic / Claude — destination for transferred conversations, accessed via OAuth from your device
• Google Sheets — stores waitlist email addresses collected at sign-up

Depending on your jurisdiction (including GDPR and CCPA), you have the right to:

• Request access to the personal data we hold about you
• Request deletion of your email address and any associated records
• Withdraw consent for processing at any time
